Born in Burbank, California on January 21, 1997. I would consider myself a proud and accurate Aquarius that needs her freedom to be able to do what she wants without anything or anyone stopping her. I believe I have a free-spirited fashion sense, always trying to have an original appearance. Although I like to be seen as a “peculiar” person, I admit I can be very shy and have a hard time expressing my opinions and thoughts out loud. Three words that I’d use to describe myself would be bright, loyal, and determined.

Orgullosa de ser Chileana (Chilean and Proud)

Having both parents born in Chile has definitely resulted in growing up with a strong Latino culture. Spanish was my first language and I learned how to speak English through Kindergarten and cartoons. Because of the language barrier, elementary school was very difficult for me. To this day I struggle sometimes because I will say things backwards because of Spanish. Despite the fact that I have struggled, I am also grateful to have the ability to speak two languages and connect to many types of different people.

I would consider myself a loyal and trustworthy person. I love meeting new people and making lifelong friends. I think because of my Latino culture it has allowed me to grow up as a family-oriented person with open arms. My family is a huge part of my life and I would be lost without them. I have a younger sister named Karla and a younger brother named Lucas. My siblings are my best friends, I can always count on them for anything. My parents have been the most loving and supporting people in my life. They have done an amazing job raising my siblings and me. Since I can remember my father would say 5 fingers make a fist and that represents our strong and united family. Of course, we had 2 extra add-ons, the most amazing and beautiful Yorkshire terriers, Nicky and Kiki.

I Aspire to Incorporate Travel into my Journalism Career

I have lived in the same house for my entire life located in Reseda, California. This has given me stability and the urge to see what is outside my bubble. With that being said, I have a passion for traveling. I’m still very young and don’t have funds to constantly be traveling but in the past three years I have traveled a lot. I have been to different states such as: Arizona, Nevada, and Illinois but I have also traveled to amazing countries like: Chile, Argentina, United Kingdom, and France. My favorite trip has definitely been Easter Island, which is an island that is part of Chile but located in the southeastern part of the Polynesian Triangle in Oceania. I love going to new places and meeting different people. I enjoy learning about different cultures and getting to experience a different lifestyle. The thing I love the most about traveling has got to be the food. My goal is to try and travel once a year to learn, experience, and enjoy this earth.
